| The available options on C-arms include arc range (110-180 degrees) with the larger the arc the less movement of the C-arm to the inverted position will be needed. Most are 135 deg which is adequate for most pain management. Static anode (non rotating) is usually sufficient unless you perform kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty and are not heavy on the pedal. Digital subtraction is not necessary unless you are performing transforaminal injections. A small footprint for the machine makes for easier movement. Motorized movements for all angles are available but are very expensive. Most C-arms new for interventional pain are in the range $85,000-$125,000 |
